GameGlass is designed to connect devices over a private Home LAN (Local Area Network).

GameGlass cannot make external connections across the internet, WAN (Wide Area Network), or Guest Networks nor do we support use on Public networks such as work, school, hotel, etc.

One common point of confusion expressed by our users is whether or not GameGlass can connect a computer with a wired ethernet port to a device using wireless wifi. This is not an issue at all so long as you are on a private Home LAN.

However, pay close attention to these local requirements:

GameGlass can only connect devices which are on the same LAN subnet, which means devices connected to the same exact network name on the same physical router. Devices on different routers or network extenders in your home will not be able to connect since GameGlass doesn't open any router firewalls for security purposes.
